Isaac Ropp's Bio

<< Email Isaac Ropp
Born and raised in the All-American City of Salina, Kansas, Isaac Ropp, 32, received a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas in 1998. After slaving for the American Junior Golf Association and slinging a few drinks at scotch and cigar bars, he decided sports radio would be much more fun so he acquired an internship at The FAN and the rest is history.
The Ropper made his name as a hammer 20/20 sports anchor and sidekick for The Herd with Colin Cowherd in morning drive. Meanwhile, he co-hosted Sports Saturday and is credited with creating, developing and growing Portland's first-ever live/local baseball show, Baseball Today, into a smashing success.
Then, the day of reckoning. A door cracked in the afternoon and Isaac seized the moment overwhelmingly winning the listeners vote on the website. Isaac Ropp was named lead afternoon drive host September 25, 2006. He's helped drive the time slot to never-before-seen levels with an intellect, wit and sports knowledge Portland has come to trust. He can even be funny from time to time although we ask you not to count on it.
Together, he and Big Suke have produced the best ratings for the afternoon timeslot in station history. Isaac covers the Portland Trail Blazers, Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers but his pet peave is being called a journalist. If a label was necessary, he would prefer opinion-maker. Isaac is also the voice of Fusion TV, an action sports program, on the Versus channel.
Isaac Ropp resides in Southwest Portland with his better-half Danielle and her better-half, Meatball. He's adamant about never having children of his own citing their disruptive, selfish and ungrateful nature. His tool belt is the phone book. He loves any form of gambling. |
